Although it was extremely difficult to select the best of more than 130 project, the Program Committee made the cut. There is six, not five lucky finalists. The best ideas include a mobile e-store, which introduces e-commerce to the era of the iPhone; an innovative plug-in that allows to use Facebook marketing opportunities even better; the application which adds new interesting features to Outlook. One of the most interesting, perhaps even revolutionary, projects was the idea to create a digital alphabet, which enables free communication. Imagine the situation , when you speak in your mother tongue over the phone and the person on the other side of the globe hears your voice in his native language! Other finalist gave us the idea for portal, which is based on outsourcing logistics services for various e-commerce companies. Finally, the Committee has chosen a virtual meeting place for sponsors and event organizers that helps them find each other and cooperate.
Except the final six, another five authors of innovative projects will be invited to attend e-nnovation 2010 for free!
All participants were informed via e-mail about the results of the contest. Soon we will publish more information about the final projects.
For the convenience of our attendees we will provide simultaneous translation of all lectures at the conference. Presentations given in Polish will be translated to English and those made by English speaking guests will be translated to Polish.
We have created a page with basic information about the conference in Russian, Ukrainian, Czech, Slovakian and Hungarian for our participants from the Central and Eastern Europe. We have also created an English mini-guide to e nnovation and Poznań, to make arrival and stay easier for our foreign guests. Click here for more information.
Well-known names, broad knowledge and vast experience in IT field – these are the striking characteristics of the confirmed e-nnovation speakers. This fall in Poznań we will have a chance to host the best of the best in IT sector.
Speakers include Nikos Anagnostou, active blogger writing mostly about social media, entrepreneurship and Web 2.0 technologies. Thanks to his ideas, Nikos became a laureate of the Athens Startup Weekend twice and he is still supporting new start-ups.
Guilherme Komel will also share his experience with e-nnovation participants. He is a product manager responsible for online products, including the biggest travel portal in Brazil and the largest and most important online aggregator of user generated content in the Portuguese language (over 250 thousand of indexed blogs).
Last but least, we will have a chance to see José A. del Moral, an investor that holds shares in four Spanish social networking start-ups, who is also a founding partner of Ya.com, a Spanish ISP that was sold to Deutsche Telekom for 540 million Euro.
